New Mexico offers companies seeking to locate or expand in the state numerous business and financial incentives, including tax credits, exemptions, and loans. State financing programs include the Development Revolving Loan Fund, New Mexico Financial Institutions Certificate of Deposit Program (long-term financing at fixed interest rates for fixed assets), Investment in Participation Interests in New Mexico Real Property-Related Business Loans (up to 80 percent financing for stat-up or expanding businesses), New Mexico Venture Capital Investment, Community Development Block Grant Program, and Economic Development Set-Aside (loans for start-ups and expansions hiring low and moderate income personnel). There are also numerous local financing programs.
