of tourists. In 1995, more than 12 million people visited the Land
of Enchantment. New Mexico is full of scenic diversity, from the
gypsum sands of White Sands National
Park to breathtaking canyons, rushing rivers, and snow-peaked mountains.
The annual Kodak
Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta® is the largest balloon
festival in the world and attracts 1.5 million+ visitors a year.
Residents enjoy a fine quality of life in New Mexico. Housing is affordable,
property taxes are among the lowest in the nation, health care is excellent,
and the average commute ranges from 10 to 14 minutes. The climate is
mild and allows year round outdoor activities. Hiking, camping, hunting,
fishing, backpacking, skiing, boating - New Mexico has it all. The
state has a rich history, and its multicultural population offers diverse
cultural activities.
